School has officially started here in Middle Tennessee, and while we all love our children, I think it’s safe to say a lot of moms are rejoicing! With the start of school comes routines and a sense of a fresh start…..new beginnings if you will. Fall is around the corner, and for us here at Effortless Style, that means a busy (and stylish) time of year is quickly approaching.
Our clients, both old and new, tend to be ready for a fresh start themselves. Whether it’s needing help giving new life to their favorite summer pieces to transition to early fall or just wanting a closet clean-out to get ready for the chillier months, we love to help! Like all of you, we are ready for booties, jackets and hearty earth tones.
One of our most popular services during these transitional months is our Closet Audit. We realize letting us into your closet can be intimidating. Our closets can be a very vulnerable place. However, we approach each audit with care and kindness. We love listening to the stories our clients have about why they want to hang onto a particular piece of clothing. It’s important to note that we offer complimentary consultations to all new clients. We feel it is so important to get to know our clients and their style before we jump in. We also want to give our clients an opportunity to get to know us so they feel comfortable before we start the process.
Instead of just elaborating on our Closet Audit service, we thought it would be fun to sit down with a few clients for a little Q&A. Their words and descriptions about their Effortless Style Closet Audit experience will probably be more insightful than ours!
Effortless Style Closet Audit Q&A
Tell us a little about your overall closet audit experience.
My closet audit was much less intimidating than I thought it would be! I received a gift certificate as a birthday present, and it’s been one of the most unique and memorable gifts I’ve gotten. I was afraid that I would be pushed toward things that were either too expensive or impractical, but in the end I have a closet with clothes that I actually wear now instead of staring into the abyss and wondering how I have so many clothes but “nothing to wear.” – Jennifer
Katie came into my home and right away made me feel completely comfortable introducing her to my closet! She helped me put together outfits and rid myself of things that did not fit properly, were outdated or just tired looking. Katie has continued to help me update my closet with classic stable pieces as well as trendy accents. – Lauryn
I have a hard time parting with clothes that fit (even if I really should) and Heather helped me feel comfortable and ready to part with a lot of clothes so I could make room for more updated styles. – Heather
Katie (Rushton) was an excellent choice for me. She came prepared with an assistant so she could focus on what I needed and we finished the closet audit in less time than I expected. Such a relief that I have gotten rid of so many things I wasn’t using, kept the best of what I already had, and can start identifying my own personal style and colors that look best on me. – Joy
I love my new closet of clothes, and am so glad we got rid of some things. Katey (Preston) has such great ideas and taste, and she expressed them in such a gracious way. I so appreciate your help! – Debbie

I’m also wearing more things that were already in my closet. – Jennifer
Katie (Rushton) also helped me with a variety of solutions with selling and donating my clothes, even took a large amount to a donation sight for me. – Joy
I love that Katie also talked to me about how to update my wardrobe, during my closet audit, with utilizing existing pieces and only purchasing a few new pieces. – Julie
