Big thanks to Emily Tulloh of Beloved Intimates for putting together this guest blog post for us on fall lingerie and how to wear it with our fabulous fall fashions!!
Fall fashion. Two words that conjure up images of all that is right and good in the world – boots, stockings, leather, cozy knits, cocktail dresses, and fabulous lingerie!
Well, that is my list at least.
Lingerie may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you start thinking about your cool weather wardrobe, but this time of year lends itself beautifully to letting your foundations shine. Whether your outfit calls for fashion or function (or both), I want to share some of my favorite pieces in the store this fall and ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe.
1. Every woman needs a fabulous bodysuit.
They are such multifunctional pieces that can be worn under dresses, sweaters, or peaking out of a cozy flannel. A lot of bodysuits have great shaping qualities and can be worn in lieu of a bra. The real bonus is that they are beautiful lingerie pieces that look sexy in addition to being functional, flattering foundations. We love the Mira bodysuit by Fortnight – it is effortless beauty at its best.

Style Tip: Instead of layering a bra and cami under an open knit sweater or sheer top, try a bodysuit with good support.
2. Stockings are a really fun way to add a lot of style and polish to any outfit.
It is easy to transform some of your basics by pairing them with lace, fishnet, or patterned stockings. I love Secret Socks by Pretty Polly – they are full stockings that give you the look of wearing thigh highs or knee-highs. I have both and love wearing them with shift dresses and full skirts. I love the idea of pairing them with one of the season’s many leather skirt options, like this one.

3. An effective shape wear slip is a must have item as party season revs up.
As a women in my 30’s who has recently had a baby, I am even more invested in stocking a couple essential slips in the shop that do the job well by creating a flawless, smooth silhouette under everything from a knit wrap dress to a cocktail dress to a sweater dress and the list goes on. And the best part? They are beautiful! I know, I didn’t think it was possible either, but it most definitely is. I absolutely love this Free Lace shaper slip by Berlei. It is exquisite in its looks and the way it makes your body look!

4. My last suggestion is to enjoy all of your beautiful bras while the weather is cool and the clothing is copious!
All of your lace bras, colorful styles, and pretty matching sets shouldn’t be left for a special occasion – celebrate your femininity every day and make sure that the first thing you put on makes you feel beautiful.
Style Tip: Love your lace bras but hate “show through” when it’s chilly out? Try silicone nipple covers. You can enjoy all of your sheer and lace styles every day with no worries about loss of modesty – they are one of the most popular items in the store, so give them a try!
