We are growing again! I’m so excited to announce the addition of a new stylist to the Effortless Style team, and this time around our stylist is based in Dallas, Texas. Look out Dallas, here we come! Meet our new Dallas stylist, Heather Pujol Cuffee. We are so thrilled that Heather is joining the Effortless Style team! So you guys can get to know her better, we asked Heather to answer a few fun questions about her background, her personal style and what she loves about being a stylist.
How did you get started in helping others find their personal style?
Fashion is and has always been a part of me. My middle name is Dior, so it was pretty much inevitable that I would love fashion. I remember as a child spending hours in the mall shopping with my mother. She took me shopping and to Fashion Shows in Paris, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles just to name a few. As I got older, my friends and coworkers started asking me for fashion advice, especially if they had a special event they were attending. The best part of assisting them was seeing the confidence they radiated after finding the perfect outfit for them.
What is your educational and professional background?
I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Fisk University. I also have a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from The Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University. I spent 4 years working in the Financial and Treasury sector of the Business Process Outsourcing Industry, 4 years working in the financial sector of the consumer purchase Goods industry, and currently working in the Business Development Sector of the Tech Industry.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is a combination of Classic, Edgy, Bohemian, and Sporty. Honestly, I do not like putting my style inside a box because it is a compilation of many. To me, style is a form of self-expression and my way of speaking to the world before releasing a single word from my lips.
Who are your favorite designers?
Fashion is the essence of you, I purchase styles not labels. I have big name label items and I also have boutique items. It is important to know your style and shop accordingly.
What is a common mistake women make when it comes to style?
Many women simply do not know their true style or what looks best on them. A woman’s style should be unique to her. Once she understands her unique style then she will know what to wear for her, ultimately providing her better confidence and self-esteem.
What is the most rewarding part of your line of work?
Seeing and hearing the gratification is the best and most rewarding part. I absolutely love helping others. For example, when I see the working mom that has no time for herself feel happy because she loves her outfit or seeing the stay at home mom put on that perfect dress that makes her feel like her old self again. Those are examples of how i feel so rewarded for what i get to do on a daily basis.
What is your fashion pet peeve?
Women wearing clothes that do not fit them properly, whether too big or too small.
What’s the one item of clothing every woman should own?
I have 3 items every woman should own. The first one is a little black dress. You never know when you might have to attend a special event. The second one is a pair of classic black pumps. you never know when you might finally get that interview you have been waiting for. The third one is a “go to” hat that goes with everything. You never know when you might just need that extra pop for an outfit or you may be having a bad hair day. all of these items are great “go to” items.
