We are starting off the new year with a Shop Local feature on a business that isn’t really fashion related. However, we love Julie Hullett of Julie Hullett Concierge, and we wanted to share her with you guys! Very early on in our Effortless Style journey, a gentleman asked me what services we provided. I told him wardrobe consulting and personal shopping services. He keyed in on the personal shopping and asked if that meant that I did grocery shopping for people. The answer to that question was (and still is) “no,” but we know someone that will do grocery shopping for you. That’s where Julie comes in. Julie provides a multitude of personal shopping services along with a wide array of many other services including event planning, relocation management, home management, etc. Make sure to read more about Julie below!
Thank you Julie for sharing with us!!
What inspired you to open your business? How long have you been in business?
I started my business in October 2011. I wanted work that offered autonomy, the ability to serve people, and to have some adventure. I can definitely say my business gives me all of those things.
What do you love most about your job?
I get a lot of personal satisfaction from exceeding people’s expectations, whether it is a huge project or even the smallest of tasks. Knowing that I am making a contribution to someone’s quality of life through my services is a great feeling.
What makes your company unique?
I have a rich and unique work/life history that has made me the person I am. That enables me to deliver my concierge services in a unique way; as my tag line reads “with Panache.”
What is your target market?
Busy people! Whether they are single, couple, professionals and/or retired-I work with all types of clients.
Has Nashville’s growth and recent buzz over the last couple of years had any impact on your business?
I would definitely say yes. I get a lot more traffic on my website and requests from people out of state. Most of them are coming to Nashville for business or vacation for the first time.
Are there any additional things that you would like our readers to know about you and/or Julie Hullett Concierge?
The first meeting I have with a client is a complimentary consult. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and prioritize what is most important to them. People are often amazed at how handing off their ‘to do’ list can be so liberating.
Additionally, I work with many local vendors in all types of businesses and I enjoy being a resource for my clients. If they need a special picture framed, a plumber, an artist, a tour, special tickets etc. etc. I can assist with those and many other things.
