Picking out the perfect travel outfit can be quite a challenge. There is no doubt that your clothes play an important role while traveling: they must keep you warm when the AC is blasting, cool when the AC is nowhere to be found, comfy when you’re stuck in a tight airplane seat, easy to move around in as you go from place to place quickly, etc. And of course you want to accomplish all this while still looking stylish. With just a few helpful tips, we hope you can achieve all the above and more.
Here’s some ideas we’ve put together to help you get on your way!
Travel Style: On Top
Since airport temperatures can be unpredictable, we advise to dress in layers. Start with a loose fitting t-shirt as your base layer. That way you can easily add layers and not get too warm. Secondly, bring a cardigan or jacket with you. Big pockets is an added bonus, providing easy access to essentials such as your wallet, travel documents, headphones and gum. An oversized top layer is the perfect way to stay cozy on long flights.
Travel Style: On Bottom
We advise wearing your favorite, most comfortable pants or jeans to the airport. Make sure you can sit long periods of time in them and that they are easy to move around in.
Travel Style: Shoes
Stay away from the heels and stick to comfortable flats. Shoes with sufficient support are important since they will most likely be on your feet for a long period of time. We think loafers are a great idea, especially since they are easy to slip on and off at security checkpoints.
Travel Style: Accessories
Keep your jewelry at a minimum so you don’t have to deal with the trouble at security. We love the idea of a blanket scarf to top off your look. It’s easy to take on and off and it keeps you cozy.
And there you have it ladies! We hope these tips for a travel outfit are helpful and even enhance your travel experiences. As always, we want you looking and feeling your best wherever you go!
Thanks for that shoe tip. I usually try to wear the right shoes, but I just love heels! But, for the sake of travel, I think I will break in those flats of mine.
