Flared Jeans
An obvious trend this season is a pair of flared jeans. We think it’s a great change of pace from the classic skinny or straight legged jeans.
If you are a petite, pair them with a heel to add some length and make your legs look longer. Wedges, flats, sport pumps, or even sneakers are all possibilities with flares.
Keep it structured with a blazer or button-down on top, or go with an oversized sweater or blouse to really embrace the 70’s look.
The most essential part when buying flared jeans is the length. The hem should cover most of your shoes but not go all the way to the floor. Going too long can be sloppy and definitely avoid going too short which may result in some funny looking pants. This may mean taking the jeans to a tailor in order to achieve the perfect length. Before purchasing your flares, try them on with a favorite pair of shoes that you would potentially wear with them. That way you get a realistic feel.
If this is out of your comfort zone, we hope these photos give you some confidence to try something new. It’s one of our favorite looks!
