From Our Stylists: Top Swimsuit Picks for Summer
I thought it was high time you heard from all of our stylists this week. It’s been a while since we’ve shared picks from all four of us. Now that it’s really heating up out there, we’ve got opinions on the universal weekend uniform: the swimsuit! Love it or hate it, swimsuit shopping is a near necessity for summertime, and we want to help you love it.
By finding the right cut of swimsuit that flatters your body type, you can flip a stressful experience on its head. Katey P., Emily, Heather, and I have each picked two of our favorite swimsuits this season. We are sharing a variety of styles and coverage for your next pool day or beach trip.
KATIE R. (ME, HI!)
I love a good one-piece, particularly a bandeau in a classic print such as stripes, and I’m so happy they’re coming back into style with full force. Having a two-year-old to chase around at the pool/beach means I need something comfortable and easy, and I like to have a rash guard suit on hand, too, as a full-coverage alternative. You can’t go wrong with solid black.

KATEY P.
I’m eyeing this strapless, flowy tankini top for myself. I like that is has a removable strap so that I can have extra support when I need it, and the draped front lays super flat. I’m less likely to wear an off-the-shoulder suit myself, just because I move around a lot with my kids, but it is such an elegant look for a couples or girls trip to the beach.

EMILY
I love a v-neck one-piece with unique details. Transition is key. You might be wearing your bathing suit in the water, but you’ll also need to be able to have fun all day without having to bring a change of clothes. Throw on a cover-up or a matching sarong, earrings and matching sandals, and you’re set for lunch at a beachside cafe!

HEATHER
Like my other stylist gals, I am totally obsessed with one-piece bathing suits, as well as high-waisted bathing suits. The same way high-waisted pants hold everything in and create a flattering silhouette, high-waisted bathing suit bottoms look great on almost every body type. I also recommend looking for interesting lines and cut-outs.
