Fall Travel Capsule: Europe Edition
We know so many people that are planning a trip overseas this fall, especially with Fall Break quickly approaching! London, Rome, Paris, Vienna…. Yes please, this all sounds like a dream! In the past few years, we have helped many clients pack for trips overseas. This process can admittedly feel overwhelming and really tricky, especially if you are trying to minimize the luggage you are taking. We have even helped several pack JUST a carry on for a week or two in Europe, which really is the smartest way to do it if you are changing plants and taking trains. SO, we got to thinking… Why not create a fall travel capsule: the Europe edition for you guys?! We are so in love with this little capsule. And we hope that you find it to be helpful if you are planning a trip this fall.

Key Notes For Packing For Europe
Here are some key things to think about when packing for a trip to Europe:
- It’s tempting to overpack! But remember that you’ll be navigating airports and train stations… And you’ll need to get your luggage in and out of Ubers, trains, and taxis.
- Go with mostly neutrals and use pattern for added interest to minimize the number of items you’re packing… Because mixing and matching is key!
- Re-wearing is OK and expected! Do it as much as you can.
- Choose staple pieces that can be worn for day and night alike.
- It’s quite chilly in many locations in Europe this time of year, so layering is key. Choose a few key jackets for layering options for all occasions. Don’t forget an elevated rain coat or trench for chilly, rainy days.
- If you want a heel, pack a bootie with a small one. It will still be comfortable for walking… And will sustain the elements. We don’t typically recommend packing heels, unless you have a specific event you need them for. Heels take up suitcase space and don’t get used as much as you would think!
- Pack a crossbody or belt bag that’s comfortable on your shoulders for long days. We LOVE the Clare V. Grande Fanny. It’s large enough to carry your sunglasses, wallet, passport, phone, charger, lip gloss, etc. with room to spare… But still gives off an elevated vibe, so it’s perfect for day AND night.
- Pack a cute sneaker that you can walk around all day in! There are plenty to choose from these days. Don’t be afraid to invest in a good pair!
