Fall Trends Guide…Everyday Lingerie
Part three of our Fall Trends Guide is all about everyday lingerie. We are seeing so many beautiful pieces this fall that mimic what we would traditionally call lingerie. While we understand that most of our followers do not want to show off their lacy bras and sheer shirts in public (which we completely understand and are on board with), there are so many subtle and appropriate ways to enjoy this fun trend! So bear with us. Don’t write this one off, and just keep reading….
Fall Trends Guide: Everyday Lingerie
Let’s start with one of the easier trends within the everyday lingerie trend – the sweetheart neckline. Pretty, sweet, romantic – we LOVE this accent on tops and dresses alike. In terms of tops, a sweetheart neckline instantly elevates a simple, pretty top into a total showstopper!
White Sweetheart Top | Ciao Bella Layering Top | Floral Blouse | Hot Pink Puff Sleeve Top | Puff Sleeve Taffeta Peplum Top | Carbon Velvet Top
And as for the dresses…. Wear alone with heels for a chic dressed up look. Throw a jacket and sneakers on for a fun elevated casual vibe, or honestly anywhere in between. Don’t think too much and just have fun with it.

The Slip Dress…and Skirt
We love a pretty slip skirt or slip dress! This is a must-have versatile piece for your closet in our books! Who doesn’t love a piece that allows you to look put together AND be comfortable!?! Wear your slip dress or skirt running errands around town or going out for dinner. The slip skirt or slip dress works equally well with a graphic tee or blouse knotted and sneakers as it does with a fun jacket and booties or statement jewelry and heels. A couple of tips…. If you are wearing a tee with a slip dress, wear your tee knotted over your dress OR wear it under the dress like you would with a jumper! If you want to do booties, just make sure you are showing at least several inches of leg between the bottom of your piece and the top of your booties to lengthen your legs!
Pull-On Slip Skirt (Regular & Plus Size) | Half-Slip Skirt | Cheetah Pleated Midi Skirt | Satin Midi Slip Skirt (Regular & Petite) | Leopard Satin Bias Slip Skirt (Plus Size)

The Bralette
When talking everyday lingerie, the bralette is a must cover topic. A favorite piece of ours for several years now! Such a fun and sweet way to show a little lace without baring it all. Not to mention, a good bralette is so very comfy. Aerie and Free People are our go-to sources for a bralette. Padded, unpadded. Racer back, halter top, the brami {see below}…. There are countless colors, styles, and concepts to choose from! Trick of the trade: if you find a bralette you love that isn’t padded, you can always wear a strapless bra under it to give some extra support. Here are several looks that we love for fall and winter featuring a bralette.
Let just a bit of sheer and lace show at the bust on this waffle henley.

The Cami
You can’t talk everyday lingerie without mentioning camisoles – a piece we all know and love. Gone are the days of just wearing camis under a sheer top for coverage. Lace, shimmer, cowl neck, prints, wraps, racer back – the list of options goes on and on. Wear your cami alone (admittedly, some are more suited to this concept than others), or as a layering piece under a jacket or sweater for a beautiful put together look!
When it comes down to it, whether you wear your cami as a standalone piece or a layering piece is truly a personal preference and up to you and your comfort level! Here are some of our favorite camis out there right now that we would pair with a sweater or jacket.
Cropped Cowl Neck Cami (Regular, Petite & Plus Size) | Leopard Silk Cowl Neck Cami | Tie-Dye Cami | Sweetheart Silk Cami with Lace | Satin & Lace Pleated Cami | Velour Cami (Plus Size) | Sequined Cami
And now some of our current favorites for wearing as a standalone OR layering piece.

The Corset Top…and Dress
Corset inspired tops, blazers, and dresses are everywhere this fall, and we think it is SO FUN. We understand where this one could feel a bit tricky. Our biggest tip is to choose a piece that gives just a subtle nod to the corset! Here are some our favorite tops and dresses currently. Just go simple with the rest of your look and let the corset do the talking.
White Front Button Top | Black Bustier Top | Floral Corset Waist Top (Plus Size) | Light Mauve Corset Button Blazer | Seamed Corset Blazer (Comes in Extended Sizes)
