Fall is in full swing, and we are FINALLY starting to have the weather we all expect for fall here in Tennessee. In fact, we had this post on our schedule for much earlier, and decided to push it back until the weather somewhat reflected the actual season!

Because we find ourselves running from one very different activity to another on fall weekends… An early morning soccer game for one of the kids, hitting up Target for a few quick things before heading home to accomplish a few chores before heading out again for the next to-do… And if you are lucky, maybe a lunch on the patio with the girls, cocktails out on a rooftop bar, or a football watching gathering on the porch.

Given the wide range of activities, it can at times seem challenging or possibly even not worth the effort to figure out what to wear! Not only that, these types of weekends don’t give us much time to change clothes in between things. But, even though it’s challenging, you CAN look effortless by planning ahead and keeping your looks simple but effective. Many weekend activities in the fall are of course casual, active, and outdoors. And ladies, we we do get it…. It is hard to get motivated to get all gussied up for standing at the ball fields, chasing your kiddos around a pumpkin patch, watching football around the house, or running errands. That said, we are all so lucky that casual is trending. And especially cute sweatshirts, jeans, and sneakers. And don’t forget the accessories! A leather jacket and a sweater dress are two of our favorite pieces for fall and extending on into winter. And we are loving these two particular pieces in rich camel and brown colorways.
