It’s hump day! And it’s my birthday! Walking into this twenty-ninth year (wink! wink!) with some serious RBF…. Actually, if I’m being totally honest with you guys, and my age may show a little when I disclose this with you all. I had no idea what RBF meant until recently when a really good friend of mine had to fill me in. I just can’t keep up with what the kids are saying these days I suppose.

Since I’m not down with the lingo, at least I have this fun outfit going for me right!?! Can we just talk about blazers for a minute? A good blazer is something that I always recommend to our clients. It’s one of those “staple” pieces that’s always on my list when people ask me what wardrobe staples everyone should have in their closet. No matter what you do for a living, a blazer will always work for you. If you work in a professional setting, then it’s a must for sure. But, for me, it’s a must even if you don’t work in a professional setting.

Let’s take my look above as a perfect example. How great does a blazer look thrown over jeans? Even distressed jeans! It just totally changes the vibe of this look. And I love how easy it is to add a blazer to an otherwise ordinary look when you want to up your game for a meeting or a night out with the girls. So….what’s the verdict gang? Who else loves to have a good blazer (or two or three) in their closet?
