Style Tips for Your Tropical Vacation
SEB recently headed to Jamaica with her family for a week of sun, sand, and relaxation. Today, she is going to be sharing what she wore on her trip, with some tips and tricks along the way. Here are some style tips for your next tropical vacation!
Tropical Vacation Style Tips: Travel Day
SEB wanted to be comfortable for her long day of travel through airports, flights, and car rides… But also to be resort ready when she arrived in Jamaica late in the afternoon! She wore a cute midi length dress (keeps the legs warm on the chilly airplanes) and her comfortable sandals for all the walking and lugging stuff through the airports. And of course, she grabbed her white jean jacket for an added layer over her tank dress if needed. Not pictured: her fuzzy socks in her straw tote bag!

What To Wear For Tropical Beach Days
SEB loves to workout, so she always packs some athletic clothes for the gym! Sidenote: these are her most favorite gym shorts, courtesy of Aerie:

And now on to SEB’s looks for the beach and pool! When packing for a week long vacation – and especially if you are trying to NOT check a bag – choose your cover-ups and swimsuits intentionally and of course wear them more than once! And a black cover up and swimsuit is always a good choice – black hides all stains and dirt! SEB chose one pair of shoes for the beach and pool that worked with all of her swimsuit looks… her silver Birkenstocks, which you guys have seen before since she wears them all the time! She also found a dupe at Target for $10 – check the first link below to check them out. A button-down cover up is a fabulous choice for the beach and pool…. Because you can wear it open to show off your suit, or button it up for lunch or cocktails at the bar.

How To Dress Shorts Up In the Tropics
For dinners, SEB packed mostly short outfits (and a couple of dresses, which we will share below). She repeated her red linen shorts – don’t be afraid to do this! Of course, it isn’t safe to assume you can repeat all pieces (in case of spillage), but it’s always a good way to save room in your suitcase to plan on repeating a couple of pieces. You will also notice that SEB only packed two pairs of sandals… Another suitcase saver tip!
SEB chose to wear shorts most nights for dinner – she elevated them up by pairing them with dressier short sleeve tops:

A Couple Of Fun Styled Looks With Dresses
No resort suitcase is complete without a fun dress or two! Keep in mind that the dresses SEB took on her trip were several years old, but she is still loving them! The first dress is no longer available, but we tagged some very similar current midi dresses that we are loving for you guys.
