What To Pack For A Few Days In NYC

Summer is for traveling! Because we know how much you guys loved the post we did last summer on how to pack for a trip to Europe (if you missed that post and want to check it out, you can do that here)…. We thought we would do a few more of those this summer. SEB and Katie have both had a couple of trips during the month of June, and we are going to be sharing what they wore with you guys! First up, what to pack for a few days in NYC!

What To Pack For A Few Days In NYC

SEB headed to New York City with some girlfriends earlier this month. When thinking about what to wear during the day in NYC, two main principles come to mind. First, you want to be chic. It is NYC after all! But second – and equally important – you want to be comfortable and functional for long, busy days in the city.

Not to mention, the weather this time of year can be tricky too! The temps can swing from cool and 60 to sunny and 80 all in one day! That means layering pieces like a lightweight or denim jacket are key. Plus, no matter what style you are going for during the day, comfort and function must play a role. Hours of navigating the city to do all the fun things means your shoes need to be stylish and comfortable, and you need to have a bag that can carry your essentials and not break your shoulder or back!

Lastly…. Do not be afraid to repeat items! You will notice in these looks that SEB took only three pairs of shoes and wore them over and over. She also carried the same couple of bags throughout her stay… And even repeated items like her cuffed hem shorts and flowy tiered skirt!

• Neutral heeled sandal (comfortable for walking)
• Belt bag (for day)
• Crossbody bag (for evening)
• Several cotton tank tops (coral, red, slate blue, black)

• Black shine tank for evening
• Printed long sleeve blouse
• Dressy shorts for day (could also be worn at night)
• Midi skirt
• Dressy skirts (2)
• Cropped straight leg pants (navy and black)

Walking all over, checking out delicious restaurants, seeing shows, shopping… The list of fun in the city goes on and on (OH how we LOVE NYC)! What SEB Wore At Night In NYC

After a long day running around the city, it’s nice to head back to the hotel and get cleaned up for your evening activities. Some of the best restaurants in the world… Musicals… Comedy shows… Glitzy bars… There is of course no shortage of fun when it comes to nightlife in NYC.
