It’s that time of year… The kiddos are heading back to school. And us mamas are feeling like some deer in the headlights. Are we right?! That’s because back to school also means back to paperwork, emails galore, schedules, homework, practices, and commitments up at the children’s school. Meet the teacher night, orientations, PTO meetings, committee meetings… Today, we are sharing some style inspiration with you guys for what to wear for back to school!
What To Wear For Back To School
Being back in school means that we mamas are also up at the school a fair amount. Whether that be for PTO meetings… Attending grade level orientation or meeting your kid’s teacher… School events like carnivals, sports games, and Senior Night… Meeting with your kid’s teacher… Or simply volunteering in your child’s classroom, at a staff appreciation meal, or in the concession stand. You guys know. There are so many commitments we have as parents. And the truth is, it can sometimes be a bit tricky to figure out what to wear to these relatively casual activities. We want to look put together, but not too dressy or like we are trying too hard. SO, here are some fun ideas for you guys on what to wear for back to school!
What To Wear For Lunch With Your Kiddo
Let’s start with the most casual look of the bunch…. Heading up to the school to eat lunch with your child in the cafeteria after a busy morning of tidying, running some errands, or working at your desk at home? Of course, you can head there in your athletic clothes or lounge wear. OR, you can spend a few extra minutes to look put together. Guys, you really can look cute without spending an eternity getting ready! There are so many ways to achieve an elevated casual look. How about the faux leather joggers and cropped hoodie below? Love this look – it’s fun, edgy, and casual! This look is a perfect example of how to look put together without spending an hour getting dressed… And, you get the added bonus of finishing your busy day in style!
What To Wear To Volunteer
So many of us mamas love to go up to our child’s classroom to help the teacher out… Whether that be cutting paper in the stock room, hot gluing art work on the walls, or reading to the children! This is usually a time you want to be functional and comfortable. Again, spend a few extra minutes and put on some “real” but casual clothes like a cute white tee shirt and your favorite jeans. Add in a few of your favorite accessories, such as a fun necklace or some cute sneakers. Don’t forget a jacket – for some reason, it always seems to be chilly up at school.
What To Wear For PTO Meetings
There is never a shortage of meetings up at school if you are involved with your PTO or Parent Association. Some of these meetings take place during the day, while others are at night. There are several good options for meetings like these… Such as a casual dress and sandals or booties, a button-up shirt and a nice pair of shorts, or a fun top and skirt. But you can never go wrong with a blazer and jeans. To make this look even a bit more chill, you can always do distressed denim. You guys know by now that a blazer and distressed jeans is one of our most favorite looks for fall! Add some simple hoop earrings and a pair of mules to complete the concept.
What To Wear To Meet The Teacher
All of us mamas love to take advantage of any chance we get to get to know and interface with our child’s teacher… Whether it be meet the teacher night in August, parent teacher conferences in the fall, or a scheduled meeting! How fun is this sweater vest over a button-up shirt with jeans and some cute sneakers for a meeting with your teacher? And you don’t need to over-accessorize… A couple of simple accessories just pulls the look together for sure! This look is another great example of how you can look cute and chic, but still be comfortable and functional for your busy day.
