Spring Capsule Styled Looks – Part 2

Spring Capsule Wardrobe Styled Looks
The Cardigan
This cardigan is both sweet and whimsical. We love its happy bubblegum pink color. Not only does this piece add a really fun pop of color to this capsule, but it also has other fun details to it. For instance, we love the button and pocket detailing. Basically, you will find yourself pulling it again and again to wear, especially with your spring wardrobe staples like the jeans, white jeans, and denim shorts. You can also can wear this cardigan layered over any number of pieces in this capsule or wear it on its own buttoned up like a shirt!

The Tank
Every spring closet needs a good solid colored tank or cami. But, it is important that this tank or cami is versatile. For example, the tank can be worn layered under pieces like jackets and cardigans as easily as it can be worn alone. We fell in love with the shape and color of this tank for the capsule. Not only is the bright yellow colorway a perfect complement to so many of the other pieces… But the silhouette is also versatile… Because it can be worn tucked in and layered under pieces such as the blazer and the cardigan, or half- or untucked with the shorts and jeans.
The Chambray Button-Up
The chambray button-up is a go-t0 piece that stands the test of time. That is because once you invest in a good one, you can wear it for years, and in every season. Notice that we put a chambray button-up in the capsule rather than a denim jacket. This piece can not only be worn as a button-up shirt, but it can also double as a jean jacket. For example, you can wear it tied at the waist with a few of the top buttons unbuttoned to layer over various pieces in the capsule!

The Printed Blouse
Spring is about pattern and color. As a result, this capsule has several pieces that are brightly colored or have fun patterns… Or even better, both! There are so many ways to wear this floral top, from jean cutoffs to the wide leg pants from the matching set. Additionally, note that though this top doesn’t contain the exact same pink as wide leg pants, its color palette flows really nicely with them!

The Striped Tank
The Whisper Tank from Madewell is one of our go-to tanks for spring and summer. We love the idea of a casual striped tank to utilize throughout those two seasons. For instance, wear this tank with the cutoff shorts and slide sandals for a fun casual look. Or, pair the striped tank with white jeans, trench coat, and dressy sandals for a dressier look. Additionally, you can pair this tank with the wide leg pants for a really fun combination of casual and dressy with a great pop of color! So obviously, this piece is an almost perfect staple for your spring and summer closet!

The Printed Shorts
We love the idea of a dressier pair of shorts for spring and then of course going into summer. And these dressier shorts fit the bill perfectly. Not only is the high rise cut and silky material dressy, but the print also adds some flair and flirt. Because the black and white print on these shorts pairs with so many items in this capsule, you will pull them out over and over. Especially as the weather begins to really warm up… And hopefully sooner rather than later!

The Matching Set
A capsule wardrobe is made up of pieces you can wear year over year. And in some cases, season over season. So, we love the idea of carrying pieces from previous capsules forward to the new season’s capsule. For instance, the matching set from our Beach Vacation Capsule. Similar to the patterned sweatshirt, we have spent lots of time talking about this matching set since we introduced it last month. So no need to go on and on about it here… Even though we could! As you have seen with all of the capsule looks, these pieces can be used over and over!
