Elevated Fall Capsule Wardrobe Styled Looks
The Camel Blazer
A camel blazer for fall is a must have – the color is so versatile for the season, and there are endless ways to wear it (yes, even with jeans)! The Regent Blazer by J. Crew is one of our favorite blazers on the market – it fits beautifully, has a timeless style, and is a piece that you will pull out year after year. Combine the two, and you have perfection! Oh, and did we mention that this blazer comes in extended sizes!?!

The Plaid Blazer
A traditional plaid or houndstooth wool blazer introduces pattern and texture into your wardrobe for the season. Again, we turn to J. Crew for a beautifully made, timeless piece like this wool plaid blazer (that comes in regular, plus size and tall sizing). And the colors in this piece are SO perfect for fall!

The Faux Leather Trench
A trench coat in faux leather serves two purposes… It is of course a fabulous layering piece for chilly days throughout the fall and winter months, but it’s also a great statement piece that can be worn like a blazer. We fell in love with this particular one when we were in Chicago for the Nordstrom Sale, and it has proven quite popular with our clients since!

The coatigan, otherwise known as the sweater blazer, has been a go-to piece for us for years. It is such a fun way to mix things up from a traditional blazer…. and it’s SO versatile. A coatigan can be worn with a pencil skirt or slacks for work, or wear it with leggings or jeans running around town and anything in between!

The Leather Blazer
Every fall closet needs a little edgy mixed in with the traditional pieces. A leather blazer is the perfect way to do that! You may feel weary of a black leather blazer…. Don’t! Once you own one, you will find yourself reaching for it over and over. We hope the looks we put together below convince you of that on this piece!

The Floral Blouse
Floral – check. Silk – check…. Two great qualities for a blouse in your elevated capsule. But don’t forget that a piece like this is also so fun with jeans for your more casual days.

The Midi Skirt
We love a good midi skirt for the fall, especially in a silk or satin material. And for the elevated capsule, we recommended a patterned piece – again to add some interest to your capsule. Animal print is also a must, so this particular skirt achieves two things at once!
