Life seems to be getting busier and busier by the day…  Which honestly, we are so thankful for after life being cancelled for so long.  But that means we are running from one thing to the next without the ability to go home in between.  Even if you are leaving the gym {or pilates, tennis, Pure Barre, yoga, etc} and heading straight to errands, a volunteer meeting, or even lunch with girlfriends there are ways to fluff and look put together.  Let’s chat about some tricks for how to transition from the gym to the rest of your day!

Athletic wear has been transformed over the last few years.  Gone are the days of Umbros and oversized tee shirts.  There is no shortage of good looking workout attire – from Target to Zella to Lulu Lemon and Vuori, you can look cute working out at any price point.  Even Aerie has introduced a fabulous workout line through their offshoot, Offline.  Not only that, but the newest trend to hit the workout scene is the workout skirt and dress…  These are NOT just for the tennis courts anymore!

So, the first step in looking put together for your day AFTER the gym is to invest in some thoughtfully coordinated workout looks FOR the gym.  We will share some style inspiration for this below.  But first, let’s talk about some of our go-to tricks for leaving the gym fresh faced and ready to conquer your day.

How To Elevate Your Look After Your Workout

Pack a small pouch with some easy items for freshening up in two minutes or less in the bathroom before heading out for the day…  OR, even in your car if necessary!

  • Easy face cleaner like Neutrogena’s disposable face cleansing cloths
  • Tinted SPF or moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss
  • Hair brush
  • Deodorant
  • Travel size fragrance
  • Simple pair of earrings

Pack a fresh tee shirt to pair with your workout leggings, shorts, or skirt.  Do a quick front tuck for an on trend vibe.  Or bring a lightweight hoodie or jacket to put on over your workout tank….  As many stores and restaurants are quite chilly in the AC.  Freshen up your hair with a high pony tail or bun and add a fun scrunchie or headband.  And of course, there is always room in your hair accessory wardrobe for another cute baseball hat.  And don’t forget to change out your shoes – replace your tennis shoes with some cute sneakers or even flip flops.
