Lightweight Spring Sweaters

Happy Tuesday everyone! Katie (Rushton) here sharing one of my current favorite pieces during this transitional weather…a lightweight spring sweater.

In the early spring months here in Tennessee, it’s not unusual to head out the door needing a heavy coat, and then needing to shed said coat and maybe another layer by the time afternoon arrives. Some days it’s absolutely maddening trying to figure out how to dress for the transition of seasons. However, I was born and raised here in Tennessee, so I’m pretty accustomed to the seasonal weather changes. I’d like to say I’ve got it all figured out by now, but if you are from the south or if you currently live in the south, you know that we can still be thrown weather curveballs at times.

I do, however, have a couple of favorite pieces that I always keep on hand this time of year. One of my absolute favorites is a lightweight spring sweater! I usually have two or three good ones that I rotate through my wardrobe. The two above are two of the ones that I’ve been wearing on a regular basis. The long sleeved one from Free People has especially been great this spring season, as we still had some really cool days just last week. I love pairing this one with white jeans for an all neutral look, and I’ve even thrown over denim shorts for an evening dinner with my husband! Such a great piece!

This short sleeved sweater is another great option that I’ve had in constant rotation. In fact, I’m wearing it today with a pair of light skinny jeans and some tan leather sandals. It’s also perfect to pair with shorts, and I love doing a little half tuck in the front on this one.
