Quarantine Chronicles: Stylist Emily Goodin
Our ‘Quarantine Chronicles’ series wraps up today with our Stylist, Emily Goodin. Below is a fun peak into what Emily’s been up to during these social distancing days!
What are some of the silver linings for you in all of this?
I’m taking time to do some home projects that I haven’t had time to do. I’m also getting time to focus on writing my book, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I tend to spend a lot of my weekends outside mountain biking and hiking, so my weekends haven’t changed too much…. However, I’m getting outside more during the week, and I’ve made time to do yoga, which is helping me stay sane. The one unexpected blessing is that I’ve reconnected with some of my friends from high school on Marco Polo! We’ve been sending each other fun videos and encouraging each other through this time.
What is your “Quarantine Uniform?”
In life, I’m usually an “over-dresser.” It has always been hard for me to make myself dress casual, so many times, it’s one extreme or the other – I’m fully dressed or in a robe and PJs! So, it’s been interesting to be creative with my casual outfits at home. When I’m wanting to be comfortable, I’ve been living in my jogger outfit from Target. When I’m feeling like I need to get dressed for our cookout/date night at home or to go run errands, I put on my Madewell jeans and a casual button up and sneakers.

Any good books, podcasts, or shows?
The two podcasts that I LIVE for are Happier with Gretchen Rubin and Needs A Friend with Conan O’Brien. I love joyful life hacks, which is exactly what “Happier” gives you. And, I love a good laugh and Conan always delivers! And The Woman In Cabin 10 is an absolute must read!
What are some of your favorite quarantine activities?
My daily quarantine activities include yoga, Marco Polo videos, social media planning, book writing, cooking, and planting flowers. I usually try to work in a walk or a bike a few times a week as well.
