Swimsuit Cover-Ups

Swimsuit Cover-Ups Kimonos make the perfect cover-up

Let’s talk about swimsuit cover-ups! An essential for this time of year. Whether you are hanging poolside with the kiddos, heading to the beach with family or spending the long weekend with friends at the lake, you are more than likely going to want at least one or two good cover-ups to get you through your festivities. Swimsuit cover-ups come in all forms, so we thought it’d be fun to break down a few of our favorites for you in this week’s post.

Swimsuit Cover-Ups

Swimsuit Cover-ups Traditional Tunic cover-ups

Boho Cover-Up | Embroidered Tassel Tunic Cover-Up | Pink V-Neck Ruffle Cover-Up

The tunic style cover-up is a traditional style swimsuit cover-up that is easy to throw on and go! And even though this style is quite traditional, it can be found in many different fabric types and colors and patterns. This boho version is a fun option that our Nashville Stylist, Katie Rushton, found on Amazon recently when she was planning for her beach vacation. She ordered this beauty in the ivory color. However, she’s also had a client order in this fun fuchsia color as well as the teal color. All great options! If you like more of a traditional look, this white cover-up from J. Crew is a must-have! The fun tassel detailing is on point. Our stylist, Jenny Grubb, loves that white one and this classic pink ruffled cover-up is another favorite of hers. How fun are those ruffles on the sleeves and hem!?!

The Maxi Cover-Up

The Maxi Swimsuit Cover-Up

Black Kaftan Maxi Cover-Up | Ivory Long Sleeve Maxi Cover-Up

The maxi style cover-up is a longer cover-up for those of us gals that prefer a little more length over our swimsuits. A basic maxi dress can definitely be worn over a swimsuit as a cover-up. But we love the look of the two above. This black kaftan cover-up is another one that our stylist, Katie Rushton, ordered for herself recently. And it was an absolute hit on her family beach trip! The long sleeve ivory cover-up above is also a great option for the ladies that don’t love to show their arms at all times.

Bottoms Only

Sarong and Flowy Pant Beach Cover-ups

Leopard Sarong | Breezy Wide-Leg Pants

When it comes to cover-ups, some of us prefer to just have a fun bottom to throw on over our swimsuit. Look no further than these fun pieces! A sarong is the perfect piece to wrap around your waist! And we are loving this fun leopard print one that our Nashville Stylist, Katey Preston, ordered for a client recently. The leopard print may be our favorite, but it also comes in a couple of other fun prints as well. Another great bottom only option is a fun, breezy pant, and this pair from Anthro is giving us all the feels! How fun are these going to be over a black bathing suit (for all the black bathing suit wearers in the crowd)!?! Throw on a fun straw hat, and you are ready to go!

Long Skirt Beach Cover-Up

Lemon Print Maxi Skirt Cover-Up | Floral Knotted Cover-Up Skirt

Another great bottom only option is a skirt, and we are particularly loving long skirts right now. Think “blowing in the wind” look! Both of the above options are colorful and fun and would be fabulous paired back to a white swimsuit or a swimsuit with a pop of color that matches the skirt.

A Fun Romper

A Fun Romper for summer

Striped Casual Scoopneck Romper | Striped V-Neck Romper

Our Nashville Stylist, Katey Preston, happened upon a fun romper cover-up last summer, and she’s been a fan ever since! This easy piece is so cute, and so easy to throw on and go for a casual day in the sun. While it seems we tend to like a fun stripe in this particular piece, both of the above come in a couple of different color and print options.

The Kimono Swimsuit Cover-Ups

The Perfect Layering Piece and Swimsuit Cover-Up A Kimono

Tie Dye Kimono | Palm Print Kimono | Multicolor Kimono

The kimono! Ahh…..another favorite piece for our founder, Katie Rushton. Katie loves a good kimono, especially in the summer months. It’s such a great piece to throw on over an easy tank and denim shorts outfit, but Katie also loves to use her kimonos as swimsuit cover-ups. There are so many great kimonos out there right now, so it was hard to narrow down some favorites. But the above are a few of the ones that we think would be great cover-up options!
