The white blouse: crisp, classic, versatile, and simply beautiful. It also happens to be Nashville Stylist Katey Preston’s go-to look! Anyone that knows Katey knows that she can style the heck out of a good white blouse, so we decided to ask her to share some of her favorite white blouses and styling tips with us.
Button Back White Shirt
This Madewell blouse is a tried and true option for this time of year. The back button detailing adds a little element of fun to its simple, pretty vibe. This piece runs big and tends to be boxy, so I’d recommend sizing one size down. Wear this with a front tuck with just about any bottom in your closet – I am featuring a fun look with a denim skirt here.
Tie Front White Shirt
I love the look of a white blouse buttoned once or twice, then tied at the bottom over a maxi dress. It’s a cooler alternative to a denim jacket and looks just fabulous! Some blouses, like this one, have two longer ties in the front and are made to be knotted. But almost any white blouse can have this same look, so take a look in your closet and see if you have one that works! To perfect the knot, choose a white blouse that doesn’t have large vents on the side, and tie away!
Flowy White Button-down
Cloth & Stone makes blouses from a dreamy soft fabric, making the brand a perfect option for everyday casual. Personally, I will always roll the sleeve of a blouse – and love to roll it up over the sleeves of a jacket. This blouse is a fabulous versatile piece for most bottoms in your closet. I am showing it here with cargo pants, my favorite denim jacket, and some fun accessories – a simple and pleasing look.
The White Blouse: A Few More Favorites
There are a few more favorite blouses of mine that I want to mention! First, another Cloth and Stone option for everyday casual. The detailing down the sleeves is so fun!
And, of course, my go-to for a fitted classic white blouse. This one is also available in curvy, which is my secret for women with a larger chest.
