Well guys, Labor Day has passed us by and that means it is officially fall! We are having some beautiful fall-ish weather here and there in Nashville, mixed of course with those 90 degree days we are all sort of sick of…. But regardless, since it’s September, it is time to begin transitioning that closet from summer to fall. If you have fall shopping on your mind like we do, here are some fun stylist picks ~ Katie’s current favorite things for fall!

We are seeing tie neck blouses everywhere this season. I love the drapey silhouette on this one. You can of course wear this piece for work with slacks, a pencil skirt, or even dressy jeans and blazer. But I also love the idea of this classic piece paired with some edgy distressed jeans for a really fun high low look. You can pair this look with mules for a more casual lunch with friends, or with heels and a leather jacket for date night. You can of course tie the blouse at the neck, but remember that you can also leave it untied for a more laid back vibe.
The Colette crop wide leg pant at Anthropologie is a go-to for us and our clients. Anthropologie carries them each season, and always in season-appropriate color and fabrics. I was SO excited to see the corduroy version of this pant released for fall! How amazing is this purple colorway? If purple isn’t your thing, they also come in some great staple colors like olive green (another of my personal favorite color options for these pants), navy, ivory, and black. These pants come in petite, tall, and plus sizes as well.

I think this satin midi slip skirt from our Summer Travel Capsule has been our most popular item of all time. Clients have loved it. Follwers have loved it. Our team has loved it! And for good reason. It is so classic, easy to style, and very comfortable. Not only that, but it is extremely versatile – there are countless ways to wear it, both casually and dressed up. I am loving some of the new colors JCrew released for the fall season… Especially the olive green color and this beautiful taupe brown one!
You guys know I love a good cardigan. I spotted this oversized wool cardigan at JCrew the other day and just fell in love with it. We are seeing green all over the place for fall, so this cardigan in the kelly green colorway is absolutely on point for the season. Even though most sizes are currently sold out after JCrew’s recent fall sale, I am including this here anyway. It is one of their newest pieces for fall and winter, and I imagine it will be re-stocked any day. And when it is, GRAB IT because it went fast the first time! This sweater also comes in plus sizes!
We continue to see a resurgence in loafers for fall. There are so many gorgeous pairs to choose from… Many of which are updated versions of styles of times gone by. And this is something that is SO fun for this 80s girl to see! I am loving this classically styled bit loafer – but updated with this fun black and white colorblocking concept, which is very much on trend!
