Fall Transition Look

Ok fall! We’ve had it around here. We are ready for you! I mean like really ready! We are tired of the heat. We are tired of the summer clothes, and it’s not just me. Everyone is ready for the cooler temps to arrive, so they can pull out their lightweight sweaters and long sleeves. Can you help a gal out or what?

Anyone else feeling this way? Since it’s still blazing hot around here, we thought it would be fun to share a little throwback to a fall transition look from this time last year that our stylist Katey Preston loved wearing during the early fall months. At least we are starting to get some cooler mornings around here. And that means we can break out the lightweight sweaters and wear them for a few hours in the morning air. Katey picked this fun one up at a local boutique last year, but we’ve found a couple similar ones that are in stores this year as well.

I love how Katey paired this olive color with black denim, but this sweater would also work great with a denim short or a fun distressed jean and a funky sneaker. It would also be so fun paired with a pencil skirt or thrown over a dress and used as a layering piece. Lots of options with this fun sweater or any like it! How do you guys transition your wardrobe into the fall months? Do you have a favorite go-to piece for the cooler morning/hot afternoon days?
