Let’s Meet And Get To Know Our New Stylist: Heather Pujol!

Heather brings a wealth of experience with her to the Effortless Style team indeed…  As a matter of fact, some of you may remember that she was a part of team from November 2016 to early 2019 before taking a break to welcome her little girl.  Now, she’s back and excited to reconnect with her past clients and make new style adventures as well.  Heather is based in Dallas and ready to offer her expertise through Closet Audits, Personal Shopping, and Styling Sessions in the Dallas area.  For those outside of Dallas, don’t worry!  She is also available for virtual consultations.  Now, let’s get to know Heather a little better with a little bit of Q&A.

How did you get started helping others find their personal style?

Upon securing my initial post-college position, I found myself repeatedly approached by colleagues and acquaintances who were intrigued by my choice of attire. This curiosity often extended to inquiries about fashion advice and assistance with their own outfits. It soon became evident that my personal sense of style was attracting attention more and more everywhere I went.

What is your educational and professional background?

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, which I earned from Fisk University. This program provided me with a strong foundation in various aspects of business, with a particular focus on finance.

Subsequently, I pursued my academic journey by obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from the prestigious Jack C. Massey School of Business at Belmont University. During my time at Belmont, I gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship and marketing strategies, enhancing my skills and knowledge in these dynamic fields.

These educational experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both finance and business strategies, setting the stage for a successful career in the business world.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style can be described as a blend of classic, boho, and timeless elements with a touch of edginess.

Who are your favorite designers?

Among my preferred designers, I hold Andrea Iyamah and Gaurav Gupta in high regard. Their creative visions and distinctive aesthetics resonate with my own sense of style and appreciation for fashion.

What is a common mistake many women make when it comes to style?

A significant number of women often find themselves overly concerned about external opinions, which unfortunately prevents them from fully embracing their authentic sense of style.

What is the most rewarding part of your line of work?

Guiding women to become the best versions of themselves and witnessing the genuine pride that lights up their faces upon glimpsing their reflection in the mirror for the first time after embracing their true sense of style and inner selves is an incredibly rewarding experience.

What is your fashion pet peeve?

One of my fashion pet peeves revolves around individuals who become excessively fixated on brand names rather than taking the time to truly comprehend and embrace their authentic style, which is most suited to enhancing their appearance.

What’s the one item of clothing every woman should own?

An indispensable piece of clothing that I believe every woman should have in her wardrobe is the ideal black blazer. Its versatility is unmatched, seamlessly complementing an array of outfits ranging from jeans to slacks and skirts.
