Happy Tuesday y’all! We have some exciting news to officially share…we’re expanding our Nashville reach and our Effortless Style team!

It’s our (joyful) pleasure to introduce new stylist Jenny Grubb! With a merchandising and apparel degree from the University of Kentucky and a love for fashion and design, Jenny is already booking new clients in the Murfreesboro area where she is based out of. Check out the below for a fun Q&A we did with Jenny recently.

Meet Our New Stylist Jenny Grubb

How did you get started in helping others find their personal style?

With a Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles background I have always felt comfortable in giving advice when it comes to fashion. It all started with friends and family asking for help and then eventually growing from there.

What is your educational and professional background?

I attended the University of Kentucky with a major in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles. After school I got into Outside Media Sales (retail-Green Hills) for the newspaper and I also was a marketing and special events Director for a non profit in Murfreesboro. I left media sales to stay at home with my little girl when she was born.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is fun and colorful but yet very classic. I love to follow trends and find ways to incorporate those with a timeless look.

Who are your favorite designers?

I love Hunter Bell and have followed her since the beginning of her career when she was on Fashion Star. I also love Rebecca Taylor and her feminine touches to her pieces. Many of my favorites are small designers in the South- Laroque, Brooke Wright, Elizabeth Wilson and Hello Dobson.

What is a common mistake many women make when it comes to style?

I think many women buy things that do not accentuate their best assets.

What is the most rewarding part of your line of work?

The most rewarding part is at the end of the day knowing the confidence you are instilling in your client. Putting them in clothes that make them look and feel their best is such a great feeling.

What is your fashion pet peeve?

This goes back to the common mistakes above. I feel as though women are beautiful in all shapes and sizes.

What’s the one item of clothing every woman should own?

I would have to say it is a tie between a little black dress and a great pair of denim. Good denim is truly life changing in my book and an lbd is a must. One that you can dress up for a cocktail party or wear on a casual day with a pair of kicks is my go-to.
