Style Picks ~ Katie’s Favorite Things For Early Fall

For those of you that are new here… Every few months, one of our stylists shares a handful of their favorite things they are eyeing for the upcoming season on the blog. Today, Katie is sharing a few pieces for early fall that she is loving. First up is a classic Oxford shirt… That also features a few current updates!

You guys know I love my button-up shirts. I wear them all the time! I am loving the look of this boxy Oxford button-up shirt. It has many of the classic features of an Oxford shirt that we all love… But the oversized pockets and notched hemline give a nod to current trends. Everyone needs a white button-up shirt in their closet, so this one would be a great place to start. But, this piece also comes in about a dozen other colorways and patterns if you are looking for something different.

A pair of faded black jeans in on my list for fall! This is the pair I am eyeing… It’s one of my favorite brands and silhouettes. Admittedly, this brand is on the pricier side, but my experience tells me they are worth the investment! I love the straight leg jean silhouette for my body type, and this particular pair is one of my absolute favorites!

A Few More Of Katie’s Fall Favorites

We are seeing sweater vests everywhere again for fall. A sweater vest is so versatile. Wear it in early fall on its own with denim shorts or your favorite jeans…. And as the weather cools off, layer a long sleeve piece underneath for added warmth. I saw this slouchy sweater vest while shopping for a client the other week and have been thinking about it since. I love the simplicity of this piece, and the ivory colorway goes with everything!

After seeing some really great pairs of bit loafers in the NSale, I decided I might just have to buy me a pair for fall. This is my current favorite! A bit loafer is classic and timeless… Love the idea of a style like this one paired with jeans and a top for a fun high low look this fall. This shoe comes in about half a dozen gorgeous colorways, so be sure to check them out if black isn’t what you are needing.

And of course, a fall wishlist wouldn’t be complete without a neutral cardigan. This one is classic, high quality, and worthy of constant rotation in a fall wardrobe. Wear it buttoned-up with a pair of shorts to begin early fall. It would also be so cute layered over a midi dress for cooler evenings. As the weather begins to cool, wear it with jeans, a midi skirt, or your favorite wide leg pants! And of course, wear it open with a camisole, tank, or tee underneath as well for a more “traditional” cardigan look.
