What to Wear on Video Conference Calls

What to Wear on Video Conference Calls Blazer and Simple Cami Look

Zoom. Microsoft Teams. Skype. You name it, and most of us have probably participated in at least one of those types of video conference calls for work purposes over the past few weeks! Having a hard time getting motivated to “dress” the part? Or just struggling with what to wear on video conference calls? Our stylists have each put together a look from head to waist for you – because let’s be honest, it doesn’t really matter what you wear on the bottom half, right LOL?!?!

What to Wear on Video Conference Calls

If your work environment is on the casual side of the spectrum, consider this look by Katey Preston…  Dressy t-shirt, headband, and fun earrings have you looking put together for your call. And bonus….you can transition immediately to those kiddos with their faces pressed against of the glass of your home office window.

A note from Katey Preston:

Choosing a t-shirt with a fun little detail at the sleeve/shoulder keeps things fresh and you looking put together. I’m loving all of these fun headbands to step up your messy bun look. Of course I finish the look off with my favorite earrings by Styled Simplicity (I have worn a pair every day this week)! I love navy this time of year, and pairing it with any shade of pink is the perfect sign of spring.

Dressy Casual Looks

If your team tends to be a bit more dressy casual, Katie and Emily have you covered with some fabulous blouse options! And these looks are still functional for whatever you have going on for the rest of the day at home.

Striped Top | Terracotta Double Arch Earrings | Gold Bangles

A note from Katie Rushton:

I am loving this striped top from Karen Kane. I would leave it untied for more of a v-neck look. And this top will transition into everyday wear nicely. Pair it with a fun pair of shorts or even your favorite white jeans. Add a fun pop of color with orange earrings and an arm party on your wrist with these pretty and affordable gold bracelets.

Fun Head to Waist Look for Online Meetings

Striped Top | Lipstick | Layered Gold Necklace | Gold Stud Earrings

A note from Emily Goodin:

Let’s be honest, a video call is a bit intimidating. Where in my house should I set up? What do I wear? Well, since we don’t have the luxury of professional, on-set lighting, chances are you’ll want to pick a colorful top to bring out the best in your skin tones.  You should complete your colorful top look with simple jewelry, hair, and makeup. Don’t forget to put on a medium-toned lip color to brighten your face on camera!

Blazer Look

If you tend to wear blazers to work and need to keep that concept going even at home, Jenny has a great look put together for you.  Sidenote: Remove the blazer after your call for a polished casual look for working from home and spending time with your family. This head to waist ensemble would of course be fabulous with jeans. However, it would also be cute with your favorite denim shorts as well!

A note from Jenny Grubb:

For some reason, anytime I put a blazer on I instantly feel polished off. I love this blazer for so many reasons. From the beautiful green to the linen fabric and of course the notch collar. You can wear this blazer into the Fall (September/ October in the south). Wear now on your zoom call with a v neck t-shirt (I love a stripe under a blazer) and later with clients with a crisp button down.  These tortoise earrings will be your go to neutral earring for Summer.
